Account Management
Opening an account takes under 5 minutes. Click Open Account, enter your personal details, verify your email address, and choose your account type. You can start trading on a demo account immediately. To fund a live account, you will need to complete KYC verification first.
Guro Markets offers three live account types:
  • Standard: Commission-free, spreads from 1.0 pip, min deposit $100
  • ECN: Raw spreads from 0.0 pips, $6/lot commission, min deposit $500
  • Pro: Institutional conditions, $3/lot commission, min deposit $10,000
A free Demo account with $10,000 virtual funds is also available for practice trading.
Yes. You may open multiple live accounts under a single profile — for example, a Standard and an ECN account simultaneously. Each account operates independently with its own balance and trade history. Contact support to open additional accounts after your first account is verified.
A Demo account provides $10,000 in virtual funds to practice trading with real market prices and the full Guro Markets platform — without risk to real capital. Demo accounts do not expire. You can request a balance top-up at any time if your virtual balance depletes.
You can open both account types and switch between them from your dashboard. Each account maintains its own balance. Transfers between your Guro Markets accounts are instant and free of charge.
There is no minimum maintenance balance requirement on Standard or ECN accounts. However, your account equity must remain above the margin requirements for any open positions. If your margin level falls below 50%, you will receive a margin call. Below 20%, positions may be automatically closed.
Yes. Guro Markets supports corporate accounts for registered companies, fund managers, and institutional clients. Corporate accounts require additional documentation including company registration certificates, director identification, and proof of business address. Contact our institutional desk to begin the process.
A swap-free account does not charge or earn overnight financing (swap) fees, making it compliant with Islamic finance principles that prohibit the payment of interest. Swap-free status can be applied to Standard or ECN accounts on request. Certain instruments may be excluded from swap-free treatment.
Account closure requests can be submitted through your profile settings or by contacting support. Before closure, all open positions must be closed and any remaining balance must be fully withdrawn. Account records are retained for regulatory compliance purposes as required by applicable law.
Guro Markets does not facilitate direct account transfers to or from other brokers. You may withdraw your funds and open an account elsewhere at any time. There are no exit fees or penalties for closing your account.
Trading & Instruments
Guro Markets provides access to 50+ instruments across five asset classes: Forex (40+ currency pairs including majors, minors, and exotics), Indices (15+ global stock indices including US30, US500, UK100, GER40), Commodities (Gold, Silver, Crude Oil, Natural Gas), Equities (35+ stock CFDs including AAPL, TSLA, NVDA), and Crypto CFDs (BTC, ETH, SOL, and more). See the full instruments page.
Maximum leverage depends on the instrument and account type:
  • Forex majors: up to 500:1
  • Forex minors/exotics: up to 300:1
  • Indices: up to 200:1
  • Commodities: up to 200:1
  • Equities: up to 20:1
  • Crypto CFDs: up to 10:1
⚠️ Higher leverage increases both potential profits and potential losses. Use leverage responsibly.
A Contract for Difference (CFD) is a financial derivative that allows you to speculate on the price movement of an asset without owning the underlying asset. If you believe an asset's price will rise, you go long (buy). If you believe it will fall, you go short (sell). Your profit or loss is determined by the difference in price between opening and closing the trade, multiplied by your position size.
The spread is the difference between the buy (ask) price and the sell (bid) price of an instrument. It is the primary cost of trading on Standard accounts. On ECN accounts, spreads can be as low as 0.0 pips, with a separate per-lot commission charge instead. Spreads are variable and widen during periods of low liquidity or major news releases.
A pip (percentage in point) is the smallest standard price movement in a currency pair. For most pairs, 1 pip = 0.0001. For JPY pairs, 1 pip = 0.01. Pip value = (1 pip / exchange rate) × lot size × 100,000. For a 1-lot EUR/USD trade: pip value = 0.0001 × 100,000 = $10 per pip. Use the built-in calculator in the trading terminal for instant calculations.
Margin is the amount of capital required to open and maintain a leveraged position. Required margin = (Trade size × Price) / Leverage. A margin call is triggered when your account equity falls to 50% of required margin — you will receive an alert to add funds or reduce positions. If equity falls to 20% of margin, open positions are automatically closed (stop-out) to prevent negative balance.
Swap fees are daily financing charges applied to positions held open past the daily rollover time (typically 00:00 server time). Swaps can be positive or negative depending on the instrument and direction. Triple swap is charged on Wednesdays to account for the weekend. Full swap rates are displayed in the trading terminal for each instrument. Swap-free accounts are available on request.
Yes. The Guro Markets platform is fully responsive and works on all modern mobile browsers. Native iOS and Android apps are available for download. The mobile experience includes the full trading terminal, live charts, position management, deposits and withdrawals, and account management.
No. Guro Markets uses an STP/ECN hybrid model on ECN and Pro accounts — your orders are routed directly to liquidity providers without dealer intervention. Standard accounts use market execution with no dealing desk. There is no re-quoting or order manipulation.
Trading hours vary by instrument:
  • Forex: 24 hours, Sunday 10pm GMT to Friday 10pm GMT
  • Major stock indices: follow their respective exchange hours
  • Gold and Silver: 24 hours on trading days, closed weekends
  • Commodities (oil, gas): follows CME / ICE exchange hours
  • Crypto CFDs: 24 hours, 7 days per week
  • Equities: follow the exchange of the underlying stock
The minimum trade size on all account types is 0.01 lots (1 micro lot = 1,000 units of base currency for Forex). This allows traders with smaller account sizes to manage position sizes and risk exposure precisely.
Yes. Guro Markets supports algorithmic trading via the platform API. You can connect third-party trading bots, expert advisors, and custom scripts through our REST and WebSocket API. FIX protocol connectivity is available for Pro and institutional accounts. See the API documentation for full technical details.

Minimum deposits depend on your account type:
  • Standard account: $100
  • ECN account: $500
  • Pro account: $10,000
  • Demo account: No deposit required
Subsequent deposits have a minimum of $10 on most payment methods.
Processing times vary by method:
  • Visa / Mastercard: Instant to 15 minutes
  • Cryptocurrency: 1-3 blockchain confirmations (typically 10-30 minutes)
  • Bank Wire Transfer (domestic): Same day to 1 business day
  • Bank Wire Transfer (international): 1-3 business days
Guro Markets does not charge fees on deposits. However, your bank or payment provider may apply their own fees (e.g. international wire fees, currency conversion charges). Cryptocurrency network fees are payable by the sender. We recommend checking with your payment provider before initiating a deposit.
You can deposit in USD, EUR, GBP, NGN, and other supported currencies. If you deposit in a currency other than your account base currency, conversion will be applied at the prevailing market rate. We recommend depositing in your account base currency where possible to avoid conversion costs.
No. Guro Markets applies strict anti-money laundering policies. All deposits must come from a payment method registered in your own name. Third-party deposits are not accepted and may result in the funds being returned and your account flagged for compliance review.
If your deposit has not appeared within the expected timeframe: (1) Check that your payment was successfully processed by your bank or provider. (2) Note your transaction reference number. (3) Contact support via live chat or email with your reference number and proof of payment. Our team will investigate and resolve within 24 hours in most cases.
Withdrawals
Log in to your dashboard, go to Wallet → Withdraw, select your withdrawal method, enter the amount, and confirm. Withdrawal requests are reviewed by our finance team before processing. Ensure your KYC verification is complete before submitting a withdrawal request.
Processing times after approval:
  • Cryptocurrency: Same day, often within 1-4 hours
  • Bank Transfer (domestic): 1-2 business days
  • Bank Transfer (international): 2-5 business days
  • Card (Visa/Mastercard): 3-5 business days depending on issuing bank
Withdrawals are reviewed by our finance team and approved within 1 business day in most cases.
Yes. Minimum withdrawal amounts are:
  • Bank Transfer: $50
  • Cryptocurrency: Equivalent of $20 (plus network fees)
  • Card withdrawal: $20
Guro Markets does not charge withdrawal fees. Cryptocurrency withdrawals are subject to network fees which are deducted from the withdrawal amount. International bank wire transfers may incur correspondent bank fees charged by intermediary banks — these are outside our control.
For compliance with anti-money laundering regulations, withdrawals must be returned to the same source used for the original deposit where possible. If your original payment method is no longer available, contact support with documentation to arrange an alternative withdrawal method after completing enhanced verification.
Withdrawals may be delayed due to: (1) Incomplete KYC verification — ensure all documents are approved. (2) Pending compliance review on large withdrawal amounts. (3) Discrepancy between account name and withdrawal destination name. (4) Bank processing delays outside our control. Contact support with your withdrawal reference if your withdrawal exceeds the expected processing time.
Withdrawals are processed from your available free margin. If your withdrawal request exceeds your free margin (i.e. most of your equity is tied up in open positions), the withdrawal may be partially processed or held until positions are closed. You cannot withdraw funds actively being used as margin for open trades.
Bonus terms vary by promotion. In general, bonus funds must meet a trading volume requirement before they can be withdrawn. The bonus amount itself may not be withdrawable — only profits generated from trading with bonus funds may qualify. Always read the specific bonus terms and conditions before accepting any promotional credit.
Identity Verification (KYC)
Identity verification (Know Your Customer) is a regulatory requirement for financial services providers. It protects you and other clients from fraud, identity theft, and money laundering. KYC verification also unlocks higher transaction limits and full access to all platform features including withdrawals.
Standard KYC requires:
  • Proof of Identity: Government-issued photo ID (passport, national ID card, or driver's licence)
  • Proof of Address: Utility bill, bank statement, or government document dated within the last 3 months showing your name and residential address
All documents must be clear, fully visible, unedited, and in colour. Blurred or cropped documents will be rejected.
Most KYC applications are reviewed within 1-2 business days. During high-volume periods, this may extend to 3-5 business days. You will receive an email notification once your verification is approved or if additional information is required. You can track your KYC status in your account settings.
Documents are most commonly rejected due to: poor image quality, expired documents, name mismatch between documents, or proof of address being older than 3 months. Check the specific rejection reason in your account, correct the issue, and resubmit. Contact support if you are unclear about why your documents were rejected.
Yes — you can trade on a Demo account without any verification. To fund a live account and begin real-money trading, you must complete at least basic identity verification. Withdrawal access requires full KYC completion. This is a regulatory requirement and cannot be waived.
Yes. All personal documents and identification information are encrypted using AES-256 encryption and stored securely. Your data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection regulations. We do not share your personal information with third parties except where required by law or for the purposes of identity verification. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
KYC tiers determine your maximum transaction limits:
  • Tier 1 (Basic): Phone + email verified. Demo trading only.
  • Tier 2 (Standard): Government ID + proof of address. Live account with standard limits.
  • Tier 3 (Enhanced): Additional documentation for high-volume traders and institutional accounts.
In most cases, KYC verification is a one-time process. You may be asked to re-verify if your documents expire, if there is a significant change in your account activity, if you request enhanced account limits, or if updated regulatory requirements necessitate it. You will be notified in advance if re-verification is required.
Prop Trading
Guro Markets Prop Trading offers traders the opportunity to prove their trading ability through a funded challenge and earn the right to trade a funded account. Successful traders can manage capital provided by Guro Markets and keep up to 80% of profits generated. No personal capital is at risk beyond the challenge fee.
The challenge consists of two phases:
  • Phase 1 (Evaluation): Achieve the profit target (e.g. 10%) within 30 days without breaching daily loss or maximum drawdown limits.
  • Phase 2 (Verification): Achieve a lower profit target (e.g. 5%) to confirm consistency.
Pass both phases and receive a funded account. See the Prop page for full rules and account sizes.
Core rules across all challenge tiers:
  • Maximum daily loss: 5% of account balance
  • Maximum total drawdown: 10% of account balance
  • Minimum trading days: 5 (you must trade on at least 5 different calendar days)
  • No holding positions over weekend (unless specifically permitted)
  • No news trading within 2 minutes of high-impact news events (on some tiers)
Funded account traders keep 80% of all profits generated. The remaining 20% is retained by Guro Markets. There are no caps on how much you can earn — profit splits are applied to every payout request. Some advanced tiers offer up to 90% profit splits after consistent performance.
Once you have an active funded account, you can request a profit payout at any time, subject to a minimum of 14 trading days since account activation or last payout. Payouts are processed within 5 business days via bank transfer, cryptocurrency, or other available payment methods. The 20% performance fee is deducted at the time of payout.
Algorithmic trading is permitted on Guro Markets prop accounts, subject to conditions: the strategy must not exploit platform latency, use high-frequency tick scalping, or copy trades from another Guro Markets account simultaneously. All strategies are monitored for compliance with challenge rules.
Any breach of the daily loss limit, maximum drawdown, or other specified rules will result in the challenge account being automatically closed and marked as failed. You can purchase a new challenge at any time. A failed challenge does not affect your live trading account in any way.
The challenge fee is non-refundable except in cases where Guro Markets cancels a challenge for technical or operational reasons outside your control. However, if you pass both phases and receive a funded account, the challenge fee is credited back to you on your first successful profit payout.
